Job SummaryThe Junior Analyst, Valuations is responsible for assisting in the valuation of assets and the development, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of key performance metrics and analytical models for Centurion Asset Management Inc. and Centurion Property Associates Inc.
Responsibilities- Develop and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including third-party appraisers, consultants, mortgage brokers, lenders, and lawyers.
- Work with third-party appraisers and internal departments to conduct quarterly fair value calculations for each fund, verifying abnormal variances and identifying non-recurring incidents.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly fair value variance spreadsheets for management review and develop calculation models for fair value as needed.
- Monitor trends for business insights and key performance indicators, identifying variances to maintain business efficiency.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of financial and valuation models, assisting in calculation verification, and assist in the disposition processes.
- Assist various departments in implementation processes for financial platforms or systems and work closely with the executive management team, providing key analytical data on a regular basis.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or real estate.
- 1-2 years' experience in the real estate industry within an analytical role.
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas effectively to both individuals and groups.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and a strong ability to multi-task.
- Highly motivated and able to take the initiative required to excel in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong follow-up skills with the ability to effectively resolve problems in a timely manner using relevant information, sound reasoning, and common sense.
- Excellent command of MS Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated track record of analyzing financial analytics.
- Pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst designation considered an asset.
