Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Vancouver office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC and other aspects of mechanical engineering for buildings. They should demonstrate expertise in buildings decarbonization or deep retrofit projects, high energy efficiency projects, and strong abilities in cultivating relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise directly with clients and maintain business relationships, including business development.
- Prepare or supervise the design of buildings, including commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
- Work with the project team from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to completion.
- Ensure compliance to the quality assurance and control program.
- A recognized mechanical engineering degree and a P. Eng. designation.
- 10+ years of directly related experience in mechanical buildings engineering, including HVAC, plumbing, and building services.
- Self-motivation and strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Demonstrate a commitment to client service.
- Knowledge of Canadian codes and standards.
- Knowledge of commercial building automation systems and DDC controls systems.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, and commercial HVAC load calculation software.
- A valid BC driver's license.
CIMA+ offers a competitive salary range of $105,440 to $131,800, based on the richness and diversity of the candidate's experience, training, skills, and internal equity. We are committed to ensuring equal access to resources and opportunities for candidates, regardless of their identity.
