Job Title: Senior School Biology and Science Teacher

Job Type: Full-Time/Maternity-leave position

Salary Range: $60,676 - $102,859

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Biology and Science teacher to join our dynamic team at White Rock Christian Academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science 10, IB Biology 11, and IB Biology 12 courses, with training in the International Baccalaureate program available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Biology and Science courses to students in grades 10-12
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning

Requirements:

  • BC Teaching Certificate or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Biology and Science courses in a senior school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the International Baccalaureate program
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
