Job Opportunity: Senior School Biology and Science Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and experienced teacher to join our team as a Senior School Biology and Science Teacher. This is a full-time position starting on November 1, 2024, and is a maternity leave replacement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science 10, IB Biology 11, and IB Biology 12. Training in the International Baccalaureate program will be provided for the right candidate.

We are looking for a teacher who is a team player, encourages inquiry-based learning, and is passionate about contributing to our school community. At White Rock Christian Academy, we strive to inspire and cultivate citizens of Godly character who can transform their world for Christ.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science 10, IB Biology 11, and IB Biology 12
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve academic goals

Requirements:

  • BC Teaching Certificate or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Biology and Science at the senior school level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a Christian educational environment
