Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our 6C Oncology unit. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care to patients with oncology diagnoses and general medicine conditions.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Performing various medical procedures, including N/G insertion and suctioning
  • Documenting patient information accurately and thoroughly
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Recent acute care medical experience
  • Advanced RPN and assessment skills, including aseptic technique and airway maintenance
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
