Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our 6C Oncology unit. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care to patients with oncology diagnoses and general medicine conditions.
ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:
- Providing direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Performing various medical procedures, including N/G insertion and suctioning
- Documenting patient information accurately and thoroughly
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Recent acute care medical experience
- Advanced RPN and assessment skills, including aseptic technique and airway maintenance
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
