Job SummaryWe are seeking a Health Care Aide to join our team at Bethany Sylvan Lake. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing resident-centered care, promoting service excellence, and responding to the needs of our residents. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with activities of daily living, documenting care and related observations, and contributing to a safe environment for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide resident-centered care, promoting service excellence and responding to the needs of residents in accordance with resident care plans, policies, and procedures.
- Accurately and comprehensively document and report care and related observations to the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in a timely manner.
- Contribute to a safe environment for residents, the team, and self by understanding and adhering to safety guidelines and practices at all times.
- Demonstrate the vision and values of Bethany and live out the mission of Creating Caring Communities.
- Care for and work cooperatively with others as an effective team member, participating with other interdisciplinary team members in evaluating and changing the documented care needs of residents.
- Grade 10 education and Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate.
- Previous Health Care Aide experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment.
- Demonstrates ability to understand, speak, read, and write effectively in English.
- Excellent observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
