Strategic Sales Director

Our client, a dynamic and fast-paced company in the food and beverage industry, is undergoing an exciting transformation. To support their expansion plans, they are looking for a Director of Sales Strategy. Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, you will develop and deliver a sales strategy that aligns with the business's revenue growth plans and its customers' market growth plans.
About the RoleThis is an opportunity to channel your passion for data-driven, targeted messaging to attract and retain the attention of recognizable brands and make a measurable impact on the company's growth. If you are an analytical thinker with an instinct for developing highly effective sales and B2B marketing strategies, this is the role to consider.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Head of Sales & Marketing to build the foundation for the next 3-5 years of growth, launch innovation pipelines, and design consumer targeting processes.
- Conduct and coordinate the research, analysis, and modeling required for the sales strategy that will unlock potential in the market.
- Convert industry reports and data into actionable insights and compelling stories and increase your understanding of market segments and growth trends.
- Develop comprehensive launch plans for new products, from kickoff to market entry, overseeing the Gantt chart management for product launches and ensuring timely execution.
- Work with sales, and food product development to determine the best approach, assess feasibility, and design a targeted sales strategy and supporting sales enablement documentation.
- Act as the liaison between Sales and other parts of the organization, bringing together critical information from key people across various business divisions.
- Perform market research to understand industry trends and competitor strategies to develop benchmarks for product performance based on market data.
- Optimize sales processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage the trade marketing budget and trade shows, ensuring the effective use of resources.
- Lead budgeting and planning processes for the sales team.
- You have built a career in sales and marketing.
- You have an in-depth understanding of insight and category marketing approaches.
- You are a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of sales processes and data-driven marketing insights.
- You can leverage market data and analytics to develop innovative approaches that deliver success.
- You can influence without authority at the team, management, and senior executive level.
- You adapt easily to diverse business environments and cultures across various prospects and existing customers, taking the time to understand niche market needs and establish priorities to support business development in a competitive landscape.
- You are willing to execute the strategy and be hands-on, from presentation development to research and analysis.
- You are proficient with MS Office Suite and can create impactful presentations and manage data and information.
