We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at Baptist Housing. As a key member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will play a vital role in advocating for our residents and assessing their psychosocial needs to enhance their well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and address the psychosocial needs of residents, ensuring their well-being and fostering a supportive environment.
  • Lead resident care conferences and facilitate end-of-service planning, providing crucial crisis intervention and debriefing for residents, their loved ones, and team members.
  • Offer adjustment counselling, assess eligibility for financial or material assistance, and collaborate with the care team for personalized service plans.
  • Lead support groups, advocate for legislative programs, and revise policies as needed.
  • Foster invaluable relationships with residents, team members, and external agencies.
  • Identify and rectify unsafe situations, ensuring the adoption of secure work practices.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who brings positivity and compassion to the workplace, fostering a sense of joy among team members and residents. You will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to build genuine relationships based on trust and empathy.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Social Work. Master of Social Work preferred.
  • Current registration in good standing with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
  • Minimum of one year of experience providing services to seniors, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

What We Offer

A competitive salary ranging from $42.27 to $52.81 as outlined by the HSP Master Collective Agreement.
