Job Title: Post Office Assistant
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Post Office Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sell postal products and services to businesses and individuals
- Sort, distribute, and process mail into appropriate classifications
- Provide customers with information and forms
- Address delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems thoroughly and quickly
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in business administration
- Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions
- Understanding of general or post office accounting systems
- Physical fitness to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods of time
- Flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work
Working Conditions:
This position may be considered a Safety Sensitive position and has additional requirements under Canada Post's Substance Use Policy.
Location:
This job posting will be used to fill many Post Office Assistant - Term positions for the region of Saint-Gabriel-de-Rimouski and its surroundings.
