Student Services Coordinator, Student Wellness and Accessibility Services

Brock University is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Student Services Coordinator to join our team in the Student Wellness and Accessibility Services department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to students, ensuring they receive the help they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities- Provide front-line support to students, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Act as a liaison between students and various university services, ensuring seamless referrals and connections.
- Assess student needs and manage the flow of students to respective services, guaranteeing timely and helpful responses.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of wellness and accessibility issues, as well as relevant policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive support to students, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student interactions, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide administrative support to the Student Wellness and Accessibility Services team, including scheduling, communication, and data management.
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure efficient and effective service delivery, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Diploma in Social Services or related field.
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in a related field.
- Knowledge of wellness and accessibility issues, as well as relevant policies and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service and student success.
