Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Project Assistant to support our research team in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will assist in various duties related to research studies, including literature searches, data entry, and report writing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature searches on various topics related to hereditary cancer research
  • Create and maintain document retrieval systems for research projects
  • Research funding agencies and organizations to support research projects
  • Assist staff with ethics applications and recruitment of study participants
  • Complete data entry and participate in data analysis
  • Compile information and format reports for review by team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (sciences, social sciences, healthcare, or communications)
  • 2 years of experience in research project work
  • Experience with literature searches, data entry, and report writing (asset)
  • Knowledge of library database searching methods
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to write articles, newsletters, and reports
  • Commitment to reconciliation and Indigenous Cultural Safety
