We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at CB Canada as an Emergency Mental Health Specialist. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to patients in emergency situations
- Assess and manage patients with psychiatric and mental health needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- 2+ years of experience in emergency mental health or a related field
- Strong knowledge of crisis intervention and stabilization techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in electronic medical records and other relevant software
