Job Title: Pilot - Forest Fire Suppression

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pilot to join our team as a Seasonal Pilot - Aerial Application. As a key member of our forest fire suppression team, you will be responsible for operating assigned aircraft in accordance with our Company Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate assigned aircraft in accordance with FPL's Company Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Adhere to instructions issued by officers of the Department of Natural Resources on fire suppression or instructions from the base manager when assigned to aerial application projects
  • Report all items requiring maintenance on the aircraft as soon as possible
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the aircraft at all times
  • Work in a team environment during long hours of standby throughout the forest fire season
Requirements:
  • Commercial Pilot License - Fixed wing
  • Experience in a Piper Aerostar, Cessna Caravan, or aircraft equipped with a Garmin G1000NXI is an asset
  • Preference will be given to candidates having experience with turbine engines and low altitude operations like aerial application or fire suppression
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Have a valid driver's license for travel within and outside the province
  • Have a valid passport
