Job Description:

The Executive Construction Project Lead will be responsible for leading safety initiatives, coordinating daily project operations, managing prime contracts and subcontracts, and building strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Safety Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of safety within the project team and subcontractors.
  • Project Coordination: Oversee daily project operations, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Contract Management: Manage and administer both prime contracts and subcontracts, ensuring accurate billing processes and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Negotiations and Subcontract Awards: Lead negotiations and award subcontracts to qualified vendors, ensuring the best value for the company.
  • Budget Monitoring and Control: Monitor and manage project budgets, identifying areas for cost savings and implementing measures to maintain profitability.
  • Client Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors through effective communication, prompt issue resolution, and exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in Institutional, Commercial, Industrial, and/or Water/Wastewater construction projects.
  • Possession of a professional engineering designation (P.Eng), Gold Seal Certification (GSC), or a project management certification (PMP).
  • LEED experience or LEED AP designation is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of the local construction market.
  • Proven experience in managing or supervising large-scale Institutional, Commercial, Industrial, and/or Water/Wastewater projects ranging from $10 million to $100 million.
  • Experience with the commissioning and startup of complex mechanical, process, and electrical systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, motivational, and mentoring abilities.
  • Excellent management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and French.
  • A service-driven, results-oriented approach to project delivery.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
  • Eligibility for security clearances and possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
