As an Estate Manager in our Consumer Insolvency team, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals navigate and overcome financial challenges.

Our Consumer Insolvency team is dedicated to providing expert advice and support to Canadians who are facing financial difficulties. As an Estate Manager, you will work closely with our team to assist with planning and delivery of consumer insolvency services, administer formal insolvency appointments, and develop relationships with referral sources.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and delivery of consumer insolvency services
  • Administer formal insolvency appointments, including bankruptcies and proposals
  • Develop relationships with current and potential referral sources, including credit counsellors, debt counsellors, lawyers, and accountants
  • Prepare and review relevant BIA documentation
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to debtors and ensure debtor needs are met
  • Maintain high-quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address issues or key risks relevant to the debtor
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Maintain flexibility to travel periodically, as necessary

Skills and Experience

  • Completion of the Insolvency Administration course and/or BIA Insolvency Counselor course, or willingness to work toward same depending on experience
  • 2 to 4 years of insolvency experience; professional services experience outside of insolvency will also be considered
