Senior Estimator - Civil Construction

At Milner Group Ventures, we are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team in Vancouver Island. As a key member of our estimating department, you will play a vital role in preparing civil cost estimates for various construction projects and collaborating with management on bidding and pricing strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, with the ability to read and interpret drawings and perform comprehensive material take-offs. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills are essential, as is experience with Microsoft Office and industry software such as Adobe, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus a company pension, dental care, and on-site parking.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full cycle bid process, including project monitoring, scheduling, and cost analysis. You will also communicate effectively with owners, consultants, trades, and staff to ensure efficient project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Project monitoring, scheduling, and cost analysis
  • Communicate with stakeholders to facilitate project completion

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary program in Civil Construction or related field (asset)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and industry software
  • Valid BC Driver's license
