At IBM Computing, we're on a mission to build a better world through technology. As a Senior Technology Advocate, you'll play a critical role in driving engagement and growth within our vibrant community of technologists.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Community Building: Foster a thriving user group community through strategic events, meetups, conferences, and webinars that showcase the latest IBM technologies.
  2. User Group Strategy: Continuously refine and optimize our approach to elevate user group participation and drive deeper community connections.
  3. Leadership & Advocacy: Empower and support user group leaders, providing them with the resources and guidance needed to succeed.
  4. Content & Communication: Partner with our User Advocacy Program Evangelist to craft compelling content that showcases the success of user groups and drives excitement for upcoming events.
  5. Cross-Team Collaboration: Align with internal teams, including product, marketing, and sales, to ensure consistency in messaging and execution.
  6. Metrics & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular reports on program success and areas for improvement.
  7. External Engagement: Represent IBM Computing at industry events, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  8. Expansion & Outreach: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand our user group program, launching and supporting new groups in collaboration with clients and partners.

What We're Looking For:

  1. Experience: Prior experience in an advocacy role within technology, with a proven track record of building and growing communities.
  2. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire, with experience in managing and growing communities.
  3. Communication: Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse audiences, including senior executives.
  4. Project Management: Strong project management abilities, with a disciplined approach to achieving goals.
