At IBM, we're looking for a seasoned professional to join our dynamic team as a Senior Technology Advocate. As a key member of our User Advocacy team, you'll play a crucial role in fostering a thriving user group community through strategic events, empowering user group leaders, and crafting compelling content that showcases the success of user groups.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Community Building: Develop and execute strategies to grow and engage our user group community, including meetups, conferences, and webinars.
  2. Leadership & Advocacy: Provide guidance and support to user group leaders, ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed.
  3. Content & Communication: Collaborate with the User Advocacy Program Evangelist to create engaging content that highlights the success of user groups and drives excitement for upcoming events.
  4. Expansion & Outreach: Identify opportunities to expand our user group community and develop strategies to reach new audiences.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Proven experience in an advocacy role, with a strong background in technology and community building.
  2. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire, with experience in managing and growing communities.
  3. Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences, including senior executives.
  4. Project Management: Strong project management abilities, with a disciplined approach to achieving goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of the technology industry and its trends.
  2. Professional Network: Established connections within the tech community and advocacy domain.

Important Note: This role will involve working with technology that is covered by Export Regulations sanctions. If you are a Foreign National from any of the sanctioned countries, you are not eligible for employment in this position.
