Communications and Content Lead

Our client, a design practice comprised of architects, urban planners, interior designers, structural, mechanical, electrical engineers, and landscape architects, is seeking an experienced Digital Communications Strategist to work out of their Toronto office. This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive salary between $100-140k per annum, alongside RRSP matching, parental leave top-up, health and dental benefits, reimbursement of professional dues, and a generous vacation allowance.

The ideal candidate will develop and deliver communications, content, and media strategy in alignment with the firm's Strategic Plan. This role presents the opportunity to amplify our brand by shaping narratives that retain, grow, and acquire clients, talent, influencers, colleagues, and collaborators. Key responsibilities include overseeing external communications, shaping internal communications and employee experiences, establishing meaningful metrics, and driving continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Director (Global), Marketing and Communications, you will lead a team and collaborate closely with other marketing and communications team members and practitioners to deliver external and internal communications and content efforts.

  • Main Responsibilities: Develop and implement communications and media priorities aligned with the firm's Strategic Plan, lead operations of the firm's external and internal digital and other communications channels, establish and track relevant metrics, leverage data analytics to inform strategic decisions, create content guidelines and an editorial process, transform complex topics into engaging content, develop and produce written, audio, and video content, provide advisory support to firm leadership and marketing leads across the practice.
  • Requirements: A dynamic storyteller with excellent editorial judgement and strong written skills, exceptional relationship builder who can connect with diverse audiences and build trusted relationships, comfortable navigating change and prioritizing multiple projects with tight deadlines, experienced and understanding of social media strategy and content creation and management, successful delivery of complex projects including a change management plan, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism, 10-15 years of experience related to this role.
