Procon is seeking a motivated and experienced IT Operations Specialist to join their IT department, working out of their Saskatoon, SK office, or considering candidates living in proximity to their offices in Burnaby, BC, Nisku, AB, and Val d'Or, QC.
Position Summary:The IT Operations Specialist will report to the IT Manager and be accountable for all operational IT services, including being the first point of contact for IT-related queries from both local and remote employees.
Responsibilities:- Provide Tier 1 and 2 level support on OS, software, hardware, mobile, and network
- Build images and backups as required on laptops and workstations
- Maintain and support internal and third-party software packages, escalating issues to vendors
- Build and deploy technology to automate maintenance, security, and deployment processes for workstations and mobile devices
- Research and resolve problems within the scope of responsibility
- Create or update accurate technical support documentation
- Recommend procedure modifications or improvements as needed
- Conduct on-site and remote maintenance or support
- Conduct special projects and assignments as assigned
- This is a bilingual position, requiring English and French
- Minimum 3 years proven working experience in an IT Operations Specialist role
- College diploma or university degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Previous working knowledge of Windows 10 & 11, Windows Servers 2016 or 2019, Active Directory & O365, networking, multi-function printers, IOS and Android, and ITIL v4 Foundation, A+ certification, Network+, or Sec+
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong documentation and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize, manage time, meet deadlines, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment
- A highly motivated team player with the skills and ability to manage changing priorities
- Exemplary attendance and punctuality
- Ability to travel
- Flexible work schedule and ability to work long hours when necessary
- Background check required
