About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Second Family Care. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to our elderly and disabled clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
  • Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation
  • Help with mobility around the house or outside, including doctor's appointments and walks
  • Assist with meal planning and preparation, and help with physical therapy exercises
  • Complete client shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
  • Follow each client's plan of care and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Offer activities essential for daily living, including serving and other tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • PSW certificate meeting technical and practical standards
  • Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
  • Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
  • Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
  • Supportive and compassionate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • CPR certificate

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $20.00
  • Part-time to full-time hours available
