Job Title: Glass Installation Specialist

Flynn Canada Ltd. is seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing glass and other materials in commercial and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each project
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to precise specifications
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring a safe and secure installation
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products
  • Install door, window, and other hardware, following manufacturer instructions
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on glass installation techniques
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures, using specialized tools and equipment
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment, ensuring a safe working environment
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, adhering to safety protocols
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, ensuring accurate installation
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in glass installation or a related field
  • Ability to work at heights, in outdoor environments, and in physically demanding conditions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to instruct and guide apprentices
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and specifications
