Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team at the City of Regina. As a key member of our Technology team, you will play a pivotal role in driving business solutions that advance our organization's strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of new systems and applications, leveraging your expertise in software solutions and technology innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technology-related solutions that improve business effectiveness.
- Provide project management and leadership on projects of extensive scope, ensuring adherence to industry-accepted project management methodologies.
- Ensure software modifications are executed in accordance with service management standards, following established change management procedures.
- Perform analyst functions on multiple projects and systems, managing software vendor relationships and formulating testing procedures.
- Provide direction and mentorship to assigned analysts, contributing to the formation of strategies for application development and maintaining current knowledge of technological advancements.
Key Qualifications
- Typically, a university degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, combined with a minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience in acquiring, implementing, and providing ongoing support for corporate business solutions.
- Process improvement and project management experience would be an asset.
- Knowledge of information processing hardware and software, system development life cycle, and current Information Technology Service Management processes.
- Ability to work effectively with limited supervision, maintain effective working relationships, and improve work processes through the effective application of technology.
Working Environment
This position may require onsite visits to non-office environments, and the successful candidate may be required to obtain a satisfactory criminal record check.
