We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Dawson Group in Kamloops, BC. As an Apprentice Commercial Vehicle Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing motorized commercial trucks, buses, and road transport equipment.

Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive an estimated salary of $70,000 per year, plus premium pay and extended health and dental benefits. We also offer a comprehensive pension plan, 13 statutory holidays recognized, 3 weeks of vacation, paid training, and relocation support.
Job DescriptionThis permanent, full-time position involves working closely with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, performing diagnostic tests, and identifying worn and damaged parts. The successful candidate must have strong electrical diagnostic skills and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must have:
- Minimum 2nd year apprentice in Heavy Duty
- Red Seal Certified
- Class 1 or 3 driver's license (asset)
- Air brake experience (asset)
- First aid experience (asset)
