Program Coordinator Opportunity

The Prince George Native Friendship Centre is seeking a skilled Program Coordinator to join our Youth and Community Services team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the My Way Young Adult Program, which aims to empower young adults to develop independent living skills, employment readiness, and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction and support to the My Way Young Adult Case Lead and team members
  • Develop and implement life skills training programs to enhance young adults' capabilities
  • Collaborate with community services and resources to provide comprehensive support
  • Manage budgets and fiscal responsibilities for the program
  • Document critical incidents and provide follow-up support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or related degree and relevant experience in youth care
  • Experience in a management capacity, preferably in a community services setting
  • Awareness of community services, resources, and systems, particularly in Indigenous contexts
  • Certification in Life Skills Coaching, First Aid, and other relevant areas
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Child, Family, and Community Services Act and service standards
