Job Title: Diagnostic Imaging Technologist

Join the Réseau de santé Vitalité team as a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital/medical facility or clinic setting.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to operate X-ray, radiographic, and fluoroscopic equipment, as well as computerized tomography (CT) scanners. The successful candidate will be responsible for explaining procedures, positioning patients, and preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals materials to patients or biological samples.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate X-ray, radiographic, and fluoroscopic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Operate computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce detailed cross-sectional images of the body.
  • Explain procedures and side effects of radiation to patients.
  • Position patients correctly for imaging procedures.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals materials to patients or biological samples.
  • Train technicians, assistants, students, or interns in imaging procedures and equipment operation.
  • Record and process results of procedures.
  • Perform basic verification and quality control checks on radiographic and film processing equipment.
  • Provide appropriate care and monitoring of patients during examinations.
Requirements:
  • Certification by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Immunization records.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
