Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve:

  • Assisting residents with personal hygiene and daily living tasks, including bathing, dressing, and meal support
  • Collaborating with residents and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans
  • Planning and facilitating leisure activities for residents
  • Performing light housekeeping duties as needed
  • Executing delegated nursing tasks in accordance with company policies
  • Communicating relevant information regarding resident care to the Supervisor

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A valid Continuing Care Certification or equivalent
  • Registration in Nova Scotia's CCA registry
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening
  • Experience in Alzheimer’s and Dementia care is an asset
  • Previous experience working with elderly individuals in long-term care settings is preferred
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification is advantageous
