About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our Asbestos Laboratory Group in Mississauga. As a Laboratory Analyst, you will be responsible for providing laboratory analysis to support our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis of building materials and insulation samples for asbestos content using Polarized Light Microscopy
- Enter data and prepare comprehensive reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Biology, or Microbiology, or a college diploma in a science field
- Strong background in laboratory procedures and/or microscopy
- Ability to differentiate the full spectrum of visible color
- Knowledge of Polarized Light Microscopy and Optical Mineralogy is an asset
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
