Laboratory Analyst

Bureau Veritas Laboratories is seeking a skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our team. As a Laboratory Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our laboratory results.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform basic testing procedures and sample preparation.
- Record results in logbooks and on FCDs, with data entry into LIMS as required.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) when conducting laboratory work or procedures.
- Ensure a high level of accuracy in sample prep and analysis.
- Prioritize daily workload based on sample and client requirements.
- Provide updates on workstation status, including advance notification of any delays.
- Understand analysis procedures and problem-solve issues.
- Identify non-routine samples and seek guidance on procedures for handling.
- Communicate non-conformances to Supervisor.
- Maintain training records and relevant qualifications.
- Meet quality and TAT specifications required by the client and ensure samples are analyzed within holding time requirements.
- Keep work area clean, neat, and organized.
- Participate in Department and Health & Safety meetings, as requested.
- Participate in internal and external audits, as requested.
- Provide training, technical expertise, and mentoring to junior staff.
- Ensure consumable supplies are available in the lab.
- Ensure instruments and equipment are appropriately maintained.
- Post-secondary school education and equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated success in the role of a Laboratory Technician.
- Able to accurately follow SOPs and WIs.
- Basic understanding of Bureau Veritas's Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Positive outlook with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good time-management, communication, multi-tasking, and priority-setting skills.
- Works both independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and record-keeping skills.
- Adapts to a changing environment.
