Laboratory Analyst

Bureau Veritas Laboratories is seeking a skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our team. As a Laboratory Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our laboratory results.
Key Responsibilities:- Adhere to Bureau Veritas's Code of Ethics Policy and support the company's Quality System and Health & Safety program.
- Perform basic testing procedures, sample preparation, and data entry into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) to ensure a high level of accuracy and quality in your work.
- Prioritize daily workload based on sample and client requirements, and provide updates to your supervisor on workstation status.
- Identify and communicate non-conformances to your supervisor, and maintain training records and relevant qualifications.
- Meet quality and turnaround time (TAT) specifications required by clients, and ensure samples are analyzed within holding time requirements.
- Participate in Department and Health & Safety meetings, and internal and external audits as requested.
- Provide training, technical expertise, and mentoring to junior staff, and ensure that consumable supplies are available in the lab.
- Ensure that instruments and equipment are appropriately maintained, and perform all other responsibilities as assigned.
- Post-secondary school education and equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated success in the role of a Laboratory Technician.
- Accurately follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Basic understanding of Bureau Veritas's Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Positive outlook with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good time-management, communication, multi-tasking, and priority setting skills.
- Works both independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and record-keeping skills.
- Adapts to a changing environment.
