We are seeking a highly skilled Power Engineer - 4th Class to join our team at Keltic Seafoods Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate maintenance activities of trade contractors to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Complete and maintain station records, logs, and reports to track equipment performance and maintenance history
- Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunctions to identify areas for improvement
- Assist during routine systems testing to ensure equipment is functioning properly
- Assist in locating and isolating system problems to minimize downtime
- Assist in the development of operation, maintenance, and safety procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment to prevent wear and tear
- Investigate problems to fix or make minor repairs to equipment
- Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities to track progress and identify areas for improvement
- Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and ensure plant systems are operating normally
- Perform routine equipment maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
- Liaise with management, engineers, and other trades to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- 1-2 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role
- 4th Class Power Engineer certification
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and stand for extended periods
