Job Title: Fourth-Class Power Engineer

Keltic Seafoods Limited is seeking a highly skilled Fourth-Class Power Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant equipment and systems.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual with a strong background in power engineering and maintenance. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate maintenance activities of trade contractors
  • Complete and maintain station records, logs and reports
  • Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction
  • Assist during routine systems testing
  • Assist in locating and isolating system problems
  • Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
  • Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair
  • Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities
  • Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance
  • Liaise with management, engineers and other trades
Requirements:
  • Stationary Engineer 4th Class certification
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment
