Occupational Therapist

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in the care of clients, contributing to the assessment, planning, development, organization, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of care related to the profession of Occupational Therapy.
Responsibilities:- Organize and prioritize assigned caseload, ensuring timely and effective care for clients.
- Apply Occupational Therapy knowledge and skills to provide individualized and continuous assessment and treatment for clients.
- Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and progress treatment plans, providing education and counseling as needed.
- Delegate tasks and activities to Rehabilitation Assistants as appropriate, ensuring alignment with treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based practice and techniques within the scope of Occupational Therapy to treat clients.
- Communicate and consult with other healthcare professionals to implement treatment plans.
- Document client information in a timely manner, adhering to PMH policy and professional college guidelines.
- Attend care conferences, discharge planning, and team meetings as required.
- Liaise with external agencies to exchange information and promote health promotion and disease prevention principles.
- Complete statistical reporting as required, within established timelines.
- Collaborate with management to ensure continuity of services during periods of absence or vacancy.
- Provide clinical supervision to students or provisional Occupational Therapists, as per guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with management to propose, plan, and implement services and therapy programming.
