Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Innomar Strategies. As a Pharmacy Technician - Compounding Specialist, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day management of our pharmacy operations, ensuring the highest level of quality and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Pharmacy Manager in the management of workload, including performing NAPRA compliant sterile compounding duties and daily sterile room cleaning.
- Collaborate with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders, verify customer information, and ensure accurate dispensing of medications.
- Work independently on labeling and filling/refilling prescriptions, performing an independent double check for repeat prescription release, and verifying customer receipt of correct prescriptions.
- Identify potential therapeutic issues and seek the Pharmacist's therapeutic check, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
- Prepare and review billings, claims, disbursements, and related documents, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist patients with prescription pickup, enter prescriptions into the computer, retrieve and/or correct data, and screen calls to gather relevant information for the Pharmacist.
- Order, maintain, and prepare inventory of medications, reviewing invoices and other documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Pack and ship prescription orders, receiving and maintaining accurate inventory, and reporting Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards.
- Pharmacy Technician diploma from an accredited college and successful completion of Structured Practical Training or successful completion of Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) Bridging Program and a Certificate of Registration with OCP.
- Two or more years of related pharmacy experience, with strong proficiency in Kroll and proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bilingualism, French/English is an asset, with excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations, working knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and drug distribution practices, and demonstrated excellence in customer service.
