Job Title: Senior System Administrator

Software International is seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT consulting team, you will be responsible for the technical management and support of our large-scale production websites and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support LAMP environment
  • Maintain vendor relationships for technical infrastructure
  • Work with Development Team Leads and Project Management on website projects
  • Participate in planning and project discussions for various websites
  • Analyze and assess areas of risk to systems and recommend changes
  • Ensure high-level systems data security
  • Perform systems and network architectural design
  • Act as single point of escalation for production issues
  • Effectively manage risk and monitor system redundancy and backups
  • Provide technical assistance and consultation to all areas of the company
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience with LAMP
  • Minimum of 2 years of management/leadership experience in a technology-oriented organization
  • Well-versed in supporting webservers
  • Strong background in storage SAN (NFS and iSCSI)
  • Well-versed in ELK stack (Elasticsearch Kibana Beats and Logstash)
  • TCP/IP knowledge BGP and OSPF
  • Hands-on experience working with Linux in a Systems Administrator role
  • Hands-on experience working with Advanced Network Administrative role
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with many of the following: MySQL maintenance and troubleshooting, LAN/WAN/VPN setup and troubleshooting, Linux-based and other firewall technology, Cloud technologies (OpenStack oVirt RHEV or similar), Baremetal hardware SAN switching and Loadbalancing, Backuptechnologies, Systems security, Automation systems (Ansible Puppet or equivalent)
  • Expertise with multiple Web technologies including but not limited to: HTTP SSL DNS and SMTP protocols
