Job Title: Senior System Administrator

Software International is seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT consulting team, you will be responsible for the technical management, operations, and ongoing maintenance and support of our large-scale production websites and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support LAMP environment
  • Maintain vendor relationships for technical infrastructure
  • Work with Development Team Leads and Project Management on website projects
  • Participate in planning and project discussions for various websites
  • Analyze and assess areas of risk to systems and recommend changes
  • Ensure high-level systems data security
  • Perform systems and network architectural design
  • Act as single point of escalation for production issues
  • Effectively manage risk and monitor system redundancy and backups
  • Provide technical assistance and consultation to all areas of the company
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience with LAMP
  • Minimum of 2+ years of management/leadership experience in a technology-oriented organization
  • Strong background with storage SAN (NFS and iSCSI)
  • Well-versed with ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, and Logstash)
  • Hands-on experience working with Linux in a Systems Administrative role
  • Hands-on experience working with Advanced Network Administrative role
Preferred Skills:
  • MySQL maintenance and troubleshooting
  • LAN/WAN/VPN setup and troubleshooting
  • Linux-based and other firewall technology
  • Cloud technologies (OpenStack, oVirt, RHEV or similar)
  • Baremetal hardware, SAN, Switching and Load-balancing
  • Backup technologies
  • Systems security
  • Automation systems (Ansible, Puppet or equivalent)
