Health Care Aide

About the Role:
As a Health Care Aide at Shared Health, you will play a vital part in supporting residents/patients in their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as identified in their care plan. Under the leadership and direction of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Psychiatric Nurses, you will work collaboratively to provide person-centered care according to established standards of practice.
About You:
- You have a Grade 12 education and a Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program
- You hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute Care)
- You possess knowledge of confidentiality/privacy requirements following The Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) and Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) legislation
- You are familiar with Workplace safety requirements following Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
- You have experience working in a health care setting, preferably caring for elderly or disabled clients
