Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Acme Logistics Ltd is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country.

Job Summary:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to transport goods and materials.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee vehicle condition, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks).
  • Valid passport.
  • Driver's validity licence check.
  • Driving record check (abstract).
  • Drug test.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with GPS and navigation equipment.
  • Long-haul transportation experience.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Willingness to travel cross-border and for extended periods.
Work Environment:
  • 50 to 60 hours per week.
  • Willingness to relocate.
