About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Services and the Renal Program Manager, and under the supervision of the Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Services, the Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring safe and effective drug therapy optimizations and management for hemodialysis patients and patients living with chronic kidney disease.
The Pharmacist participates in all aspects of care for renal patients, including immunizations, prescribing/deprescribing, pharmacokinetic monitoring, and serves as a steward for all appropriate medication use. The candidate will also engage in quality committees, quality improvement, and research initiatives, provide educational sessions to other healthcare professionals, and precept pharmacy learners.
About You
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Pharmacist with a strong background in clinical pharmacy practice, particularly in renal care. The ideal candidate will have completed a hospital pharmacy residency program and/or equivalent related direct patient care experience in a hospital setting, and possess knowledge of medication patient safety therapeutics and concepts.
The candidate should also have strong teaching ability, experience in critical appraisal of scientific literature, and effective oral and written communication skills. Experience as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team and ability to prioritize work responsibilities and work well under time pressures are also essential.

Compensation and Benefits
The successful candidate will be eligible for a competitive salary, ranging from $43.67 to $53.24 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
