About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Agricultural/Farm Insurance Account Manager to join our team at NFP, an Aon company (Canada). As a key member of our commercial lines team, you will be responsible for managing a book of business, developing and maintaining relationships with clients and carrier representatives, and overseeing the renewal process of existing business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, including phone and email support for new and existing accounts
  • Work closely with clients to deliver value by identifying exposures, determining the best solution, and advising on why it's the best fit
  • Gather underwriting information for renewal issuance and possible remarketing
  • Network within the local community through industry events, training, and other activities
  • Maintain positive, long-term relationships with clients, insurance carrier representatives, and NFP staff
What We're Looking For
  • P&C Insurance License for the coverages being serviced (RIBO, AB Gen 1, etc.) is a must
  • Typically, more than 4 years of industry and product line experience – servicing, broking, or underwriting
  • Strong knowledge of risks associated with Farm Business (livestock, equine, cash crops, statement values of properties, etc.) preferred
  • Extensive experience in the placement of multi-line coverage on Agricultural Insurance and supporting lines of business
  • Confident, poised, and interactive – when client-facing, communicates effectively, demonstrates emotional intelligence, and understands how to tailor responses in dynamic situations
  • Proven technical competency and creativity demonstrating excellence in developing and delivering innovative property and casualty solutions
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adjust to changing workload and priorities
  • Sharp attention to detail with excellent decision-making skills
  • Excellent computer skills expected and EPIC fluency an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products – specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
