Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil CAD Design Specialist to join our team at Associated Engineering. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and drafting civil infrastructure projects using AutoDesk Civil 3D and other CADD-based civil design software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and draft civil infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and other transportation systems
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed CAD drawings and models
  • Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure design meets project requirements
  • Conduct site visits to gather data and inspect project sites
  • Develop and implement design solutions to meet project objectives
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in CAD design and civil engineering

Requirements

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering Design & Drafting Technology, or similar program from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • 1-2 years minimum experience in the drafting of civil infrastructure projects, gained in an engineering workplace setting
  • Proven ability in the use of AutoDesk Civil 3D, as well as other CADD-based civil design software
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working in the field is an asset
