Civil Engineer in Training

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer in Training to join our team as a Community Development Specialist. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to the design and delivery of land development projects for our clients in the Saskatchewan and southern Alberta region.
Key Responsibilities- Project Coordination: Assist in the coordination of land development projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of results.
- Design Support: Provide technical support to project teams, preparing drawings and figures as required using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
- Site Development: Participate in the design of site grading and site servicing, including water distribution, sanitary sewers, storm water management, shallow utilities, and erosion control design.
- Construction Support: Assist in the preparation of construction drawings and technical reports.
- Utility Design: Complete tasks including the preparation of utility alignments and profiles, cut and fill calculations, wastewater and storm sewer flows, and noise attenuation studies.
- Client Liaison: Liaise with municipalities and other approving authorities to advocate for client objectives.
- Relationship Building: Build and foster relationships with clients, consultants, and municipal and provincial approving authorities.
- Team Collaboration: Participate and collaborate in a project team setting, engaging in creative and critical thought.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance and quality control reviews for various deliverables.
- On-Site Experience: Gain valuable hands-on experience as an on-site observer for active construction projects, liaising with contractors, surveyors, and municipal inspectors.
- Education: An undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Registration: Registered as an Engineer in Training in the Province of Saskatchewan and in good standing, or eligibility to be registered within the next 6 months.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of industry experience recommended, however, we are seeking highly motivated team members and provide comprehensive training and development of high potential candidates.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may be required on occasion and may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
