Job Summary

The Home Depot Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Leader to join our team. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and leading a team of sales associates to achieve store objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide outstanding customer service by ensuring that customers are acknowledged, their project needs are met, and complaints are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase store profitability.
  3. Lead and manage a team of sales associates to achieve store objectives, including sales targets, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.
  4. Collaborate with the store manager to develop and implement store plans, including sales strategies, customer service initiatives, and employee development programs.
  5. Conduct regular sales floor walks to monitor customer service, sales performance, and store conditions, and provide feedback and coaching to sales associates as needed.
  6. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, preferences, and pain points, and use this knowledge to inform sales strategies and customer service initiatives.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions, and use this knowledge to inform sales strategies and customer service initiatives.
  8. Ensure that all sales associates are properly trained and equipped to provide exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.
  9. Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive store culture that promotes employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion.
  10. Collaborate with other store leaders to develop and implement store-wide initiatives and programs that drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase store profitability.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 2 years of management experience in a retail environment.
  2. Excellent customer service skills and a proven track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.
  3. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of sales associates.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, sales associates, and other store leaders.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  6. High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
