Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrician and Field Safety Representative to join our team at School District #91 (Nechako Lakes). As an Electrician and Field Safety Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in our schools and facilities.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure seamless operation of our facilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other staff members on electrical systems and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
  • Valid Red Seal Certification as an Electrician and the required Field Safety Representative training
  • B.C. Driver's License - class 5 with an exemplary driving record
  • Experience gained through Trades Qualification apprenticeship program inclusive of 2 years industry-related experience
  • One additional year of experience as a certified electrician
  • WHMIS Certificate and familiarity with Work Safe BC (WCB) safety procedures
