Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at School District #91 (Nechako Lakes). As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment
  • Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues and implement solutions
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
  • Valid Red Seal Certification as an Electrician and the required Field Safety Representative training
  • B.C. Driver's License - class 5 with an exemplary driving record as demonstrated by a current driver's abstract
  • Experience gained through Trades Qualification apprenticeship program inclusive of 2 years industry-related experience
  • One additional year of experience as a certified electrician
  • WHMIS Certificate and familiarity with Work Safe BC (WCB) safety procedures
