About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at AllPRO CONSTRUCTION. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, and measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • or equivalent experience
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Large workload
  • Physically demanding
