We are seeking an experienced and skilled Commercial HVAC Product Specialist to join our team at Lock Search Group in Victoria, BC.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a sales-focused individual with a technical background to leverage their expertise and drive business growth. As a key member of our commercial sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients in the design and build of HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively research, identify, and pursue commercial project opportunities, working closely with key client decision-makers.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our HVAC product line, ensuring seamless communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the commercial sales team to design effective HVAC solutions, generating detailed technical specifications for targeted projects.
  • Design and deliver engaging seminars, workshops, and training sessions to showcase the benefits of our products to consulting engineers and other industry professionals.
  • Create and disseminate sales and application tools/materials to facilitate efficient specification of our products.
  • Liaise with the sales team to introduce new product formats to the market, driving business growth through innovative solutions.
  • Support the internal commercial inside sales team in resolving technical issues, providing expert guidance and advice.
  • Maintain strong relationships with assigned commercial accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for pre- and post-sales inquiries.
  • Promote and enhance positive relationships with customers through regular communication of product-related information, fostering long-term partnerships.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) or a full-time two-year professional technical diploma is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of sales engineering concepts, design innovation, practices, and procedures within the HVAC/mechanical space is essential.
  • A proven track record of sales or application engineering with a technical focus is required.
  • Previous experience specifying technical/mechanical products in the commercial sector is mandatory.
  • A strategic client development mindset and ability to present recommendations to various levels of decision-makers are critical.
  • Excellent organizational skills, analytical skills, customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary.

What We Offer:

This role offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a performance-based commission incentive, creating a total compensation package that reflects your hard work and dedication.
