About the Opportunity
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will prepare, dispense, and administer radiopharmaceuticals to perform more than 70 nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures and therapies. You will be responsible for the on-going quality assurance of radiopharmaceuticals, imaging equipment, and documentation maintenance required by hospital accreditation, Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and Health Canada.
You will work under the remote supervision of the Manager and will be part of a diverse team of innovators, collaborators, and creative thinkers. You will be expected to adapt procedures and perform complex computer manipulations and analysis while providing a high standard of health care to the client.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who is a graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology. You must have Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification and Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure.
Experience as a Radiation Safety Officer is considered an asset. You must be able to adapt to changes or unusual circumstances in a way that promotes co-operation, teamwork, and minimizes disruption to the work environment. You must be able to establish a rapport with patients demonstrating courtesy, kindness, understanding, and professionalism at all times.
Compensation and Incentives
You will be compensated with a competitive hourly rate of $34.24 - $39.96. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
