About the Role

The BC Non-Profit Housing Association is seeking a highly skilled Energy Efficiency Specialist to join our Asset Management Department. This is a full-time position that will play a key role in supporting our mission to provide leadership and support to non-profit housing providers in British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct energy audits and provide technical support to non-profit housing providers to identify, plan, and implement energy efficiency retrofits.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of energy management plans and strategies to reduce energy consumption and costs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including non-profit housing providers, utility companies, and government agencies, to advance energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Analyze data and provide insights to inform energy efficiency decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including non-profit housing providers, to promote energy efficiency best practices and provide technical support.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in energy efficiency and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as engineering, architecture, or environmental science.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in energy efficiency, sustainability, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of energy efficiency principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide insights to inform energy efficiency decisions.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout British Columbia.
