Paper Excellence, a leading manufacturer of paper products, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth processing of vendor invoices and maintaining accurate financial records.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Initiating vendor and employee set up
  • Matching and verifying vendor invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
  • Ensuring all invoices are authorized based on company chart of authorization
  • Processing and entering employee expense report information
  • Coding and entering all invoices in a timely manner
  • Working with procurement to resolve any purchase order or receiving variances
  • Reviewing AP aging report
  • Reviewing vendor statements and answering vendor inquiries
  • Coordinating with monthly accrual
  • Filing all AP invoices

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • High school completion or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to new and changing environments
